After a summer experimenting in alternative fuels-from attempting a solar scooter, to running my car on H  (That is Hydrogen for the non-chemistry folks), we decided to get solar panels on our home.  The hydrogen thing is on hold because I don’t want to chance the livelihood of my car, but I did run my lawn mower on H.  Pretty cool....literally. 

Going solar has been entertaining.  I have heard arguments against it like, I am putting the oil companies out of business to “If God would have wanted us to have solar power, he would have created it.”  This individual should be the poster child for “No child left behind.”  The arguments for it far outweigh the arguments against it.  In addition, the costs of solar power are coming down while the price of oil & electricity is going up. 

Even at this moment I am researching the latest technologies in Solar Energy.  The latest is the Solar Enhancer, making each panel work at it’s maximum efficiency adding up to 25% to total output.
